Grandma's recipe, this slow cooked sweet jam is full of spicy ginger and has sat maturing in the dark for a couple of months. At it's best now, it works just as well on toast as served with cheese. Made from local pears, some foods are made to go together and pears and ginger are certainly the perfect pairing. Try this spread on a sponge with a ginger icing.
Ingredients: pears, sugar, ginger and lemon. 400gms
